Elizabeth Hurley bares her breasts in a sumptuous nude scene from “Aria” (1987), the ambitious anthology film that pairs classic opera arias with short stories from acclaimed directors. In Bruce Beresford’s segment set to Korngold’s Die tote Stadt, Elizabeth plays a ghostly lover in a grand old mansion with tall leaded windows and a crackling fireplace. She stands topless before a man in a dark waistcoat, her blonde curls tumbling over her shoulders as she gazes at him with a dreamy, enchanting smile. He sweeps her up in his arms, and in a wide, misty shot she walks naked across the candlelit room, her slender silhouette glowing against the pale light from the window. The two embrace by the bed as the soaring music fills the scene. Later she sits up among the pillows completely nude, talking softly with him in the warm, hazy light, her bare chest and long hair catching the glow.
