Lucy Griffiths as Nora in a Night Time Dockside Scene from True Blood (2008-2014)

Lucy Griffiths plays Nora Gainesborough in “True Blood” (2008 to 2014), HBO’s Southern vampire drama. Nora is a vampire with a long history with Eric Northman, played by Alexander Skarsgård, and a loyal member of the Authority, the secretive council that rules vampire society in the later seasons. In this scene the two reunite at night beside the water, with the lights of a city glittering across the harbour and the moon hanging overhead. They embrace against the corrugated walls of a shipping container, and their conversation turns to the dangers closing in on them and whether they can trust the people around them. Lucy appears topless as the pair are intimate. Much of the scene is very dark, lit mainly by moonlight, which gives it a moody, secretive feel in keeping with the political intrigue that runs through this part of the series. Nora’s arrival brings Eric news from the Authority that shapes much of the season’s plot. Lucy Griffiths, also known for playing Maid Marian in the BBC series Robin Hood, brings a sharp intensity to the role.
