Hannah Einbinder shares a steamy lesbian scene with Christina Hendricks in “Hacks” (2021), the Emmy winning HBO Max comedy. In a cosy, old fashioned hotel room with floral curtains, warm bedside lamps and a neatly made bed, Hannah, as the sardonic comic Ava Daniels, lies back on the covers in a white vest top as Christina, with her famous red hair and a tailored grey blazer, climbs over her and kisses her passionately. The two women press close together on the bed, Christina cupping Ava’s face in her hands while Ava smiles up at her, clearly loving every second. Their kisses grow deeper as Christina leans her whole body over Ava, pinning her playfully to the mattress. Things then take an awkward turn as Christina gets up and stands by the window, adjusting her blazer, while Ava sits on the edge of the bed in a white bra, looking confused and a bit crestfallen. The two talk things over in the lamplight, Ava pulling her top back on as Christina gathers her things. Sexy, funny and bittersweet, it is a standout moment for Ava.
