Indra Zabala, Aina Lanas, and Mireia Salip Bush strip completely naked for a sensual studio scene in “Hedone” (2017), an artsy Spanish short built around dance and the human body. The film opens on a tangle of nude bodies curled together on a patterned tiled floor, limbs and backs intertwined in the soft grey light. A lone woman stands behind a rain streaked window, then the camera drifts to close ups of wet hair and bare shoulders under falling water. Drops splash on the floor and a bare spine curves into view like a sculpture. One dancer in a white tank top stands still in a bright corridor before stripping off, while another walks slowly through a cavernous concrete hall, naked and graceful. The women return to their pile on the floor, stroking and holding each other, and one sits curled up alone in a pool of light. It ends with the dancers gathering together in a warm, quiet huddle. Striking, artistic and full of natural nudity.
