This short scene comes from “Night of Something Strange” (2016), the outrageous low budget horror comedy in which a sexually transmitted infection turns people into flesh hungry zombies at a run down motel. Toni Ann Gambale is among the credited cast of the film. In this clip a shaken man in a bloodstained shirt finds a horribly mangled, bloody body in a wood panelled motel room. He stares in shock, collapses over the remains in grief and panic, and then notices a revolver lying on the floor nearby as he tries to work out what to do next. There is no nudity in the clip, despite the previous title. Instead the scene is a showcase for the film’s practical gore effects, with gallons of fake blood and grisly makeup, and it captures the way the story lurches between gross out comedy and genuine horror. Night of Something Strange has built a cult following among fans of extreme independent horror for exactly this kind of over the top splatter. Viewers who are squeamish about graphic injuries should give this one a miss.
